Victim attacked, hit over the head with metal chair, bricks, suspect charged: police

A resident in Lancaster County was hospitalized with a concussion after being assaulted with a metal chair and a brick, according to Manheim Township Police.

Leonides Rosario, 56, has been arrested on charges of aggravated assault stemming from an attack on Sept. 3.

A witness told police that a group of individuals had walked to the victim's residence and caused a disturbance, leading to Rosario allegedly using a metal chair to attack the victim. The victim told police they were also hit on the head with a brick several times.

Police report that upon their arrival, the victim had been bleeding heavily from their head and was then hospitalized and treated for a concussion. The victim reportedly told police that Rosario was one of the individuals who attacked them.

Rosario awaits an Oct. 25 preliminary hearing after posting $30,000 bail.
